Amanda is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner that specializes in diagnosing and treating mental illnesses. Her expertise is in medication management in children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly. She has earned her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing from Grand Canyon University, a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership from Grand Canyon University, a Master of Business Administration from University of Phoenix and her Mental Health Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner from Regis College. Prior to returning to school and specializing in psychiatry, she had been working as a nurse in a multitude of positions for over fifteen years. She specialized in Neurology, Neuro-Trauma and Psychiatry. The experience of working with diverse patients in a variety of settings has helped form the compassionate care that she strives to provide to every patient.

 

She is committed to working collaboratively with patients and their families and to figure out the best customized plan of care for each patient. Her passion is to help people find hope and live their best life.

 

When not working with patients Amanda spends her time with her family. She enjoys hearing about dinosaurs, finding bugs and being outdoors with her boys. She loves reading and is always ready to learn new things. She is inquisitive, compassionate and determined.
